Cultivating place, presence & kinship.
Ceremony, contemplative practice, gatherings, and sacred journeys rooted in relationship with ourselves, one another, and the places we inhabit.
Sacred Way Ceremonies based in North Carolina, creates opportunities for spiritual exploration and meaningful practice across traditions and lived experience.
The work is rooted in landscapes and wisdom traditions from around the world, with particular connections to Scotland and Hawai'i as they are lived and held here in North Carolina. Sacred Way Ceremonies invites presence, reverence, and meaningful connection across spiritual paths and the human experience.
At the heart of Sacred Way Ceremonies is reverence for the sacred in all places, the wisdom of the body, the guidance of the heart, and the enduring relevance of ancient traditions in modern life.

Two local ministries serving the community together. Creating spaces for presence, practice, connection, and meaningful experience.
Hi, I’m Amanda -
I’m a geographer, interfaith minister, educator, and contemplative practitioner with a deep curiosity about people, place, culture, and the many ways we experience the sacred.
My work brings together scholarly inquiry with two decades of experiential study and practice. It has taken me from classrooms and sacred landscapes to ceremony, labyrinths, hula, energy work, and journeys across meaningful places and spaces.
Sacred Way Ceremonies grew from these intersections and from my belief that there are many ways to experience and honor the sacred.

"This is a community you started and foster, and I won't say no to this community support." - Hula Student
Place is not simply the backdrop for our experiences. It is part of the experience itself. Whether it's in your backyard, across the Pacific in Hawai'i or across the Atlantic in Scotland, the landscape influences you, others, and what you are engaged with then and long after. You also have a relationship with the lands you visit and live on.
North Carolina is where Sacred Way is rooted and where much of the teaching, ceremony, community work, and everyday relationship with landscape takes place.
Scotland for Sacred Way Ceremonies is the landscape of study, relationship, and pilgrimage. Here we explore stones, sacred sites, cultural landscapes, history, islands, mountains, and journeys through place. We explore the Celtic concept of "Thin Places" and the magic and mythology found in the landscape.
Hawai'i is a place of cultural learning and embodied relationship with place, especially through Hawaiian Hula. Hula deepens our understanding that landscape, story, movement, language, culture, and relationship cannot simply be separated from one another.

Whether you're marking a threshold, seeking a practice, joining a gathering, or feeling drawn toward a journey, you're welcome to explore what Sacred Way Ceremonies currently offers.
Willing to travel for ceremonies and workshops throughout North Carolina and beyond.
